PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply unit and vehicle having the same, capable of achieving effective use of residual charges of a capacitor.SOLUTION: A power supply unit 10 includes a DC-DC converter 11 which has conversion switching elements Qt1, Qt2 and converts a voltage value of DC power of a main storage device 101; an inverter 12 which has phase switching elements Qu1-Qw2 and inverts DC power subjected to voltage value conversion by the DC-DC converter 11 into AC power.
