PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spinning reel for angling which can prevent excessive load to a protector and position the protector, a reel and the main body without using a specific screw and excellent in workability. SOLUTION: The spinning reel 1 for angling comprises a reel body 2, the protector 18 assembled at the rear end of the reel body 2, a first fixing member 22 for fixing a portion between one end of the protector 18 and the reel body 2 along assembling direction of the protector to the reel body 2 and a second fixing member 23 for fixing a portion between the other end of the protector 18 and the reel body 2 along the different direction to the assembling direction of the protector 18. The second fixing member 23 includes a protrusion 30 protruding from the reel body 2 and an engaging hole 31 formed in the protector 18 and to which the protrusion 30 engages.
