PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device with high visibility, operability and convenience, enabling a user to easily acquire a plurality of described marks. SOLUTION: The cellular phone 1 (electronic device) comprises an operation part 2 having operation buttons 5 each having display surfaces 15 and 15' at least part of which are in a transparent or translucent state, and display a plurality of operation marks 7, and a control part 6 for controlling the device itself. Each operation button 5 includes a frame 18 (light blocking effect dividing part) which divides the back surface side of the operation button 5 to at least two or more light-blocking spaces, each light blocking space includes an LED illuminating the display surface 15, 15'corresponding to the shade space concerned from the back surface side of the operation button 5, and the control part 6 includes a lighting control part 12 for controlling the lighting state of each LED 9 according to the operating state of the device.
