PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite material obtained by the recycling of not segregated wastes: having thermoplasticity; including organic matter; and optionally including one or both of inorganic matter and a plastic.SOLUTION: A composite material having thermoplasticity is obtained by performing processing including: a step of obtaining an optionally granulated waste material where substantially not segregated wastes including organic matter and optionally including a plastic are dried or dried after optional granulation; and a step of heating the dried granulated waste material to at least about 100°C during mixing under a shear force.
