A flight attendant seat (10) comprises a carrier device (12) having a first surface (14), a seat element (40) which is movably coupled to said carrier device (12), and a backrest element (42) which is movably coupled to said carrier device (12) and is operatively coupled to said seat element (40). The flight attendant seat (10) is movable between an operative position, which permits the use of said flight attendant seat (10) by a flight attendant, and an inoperative position in which the seat element (40) and the backrest element (42) are positioned, relative to the carrier device (12), in such a way that they do not protrude from the first surface (14) of the carrier device (12). The flight attendant seat (10) may be positioned in such a way, relative to a passenger seat (114) or a row (112) of passenger seats, that the rear side of the backrest element (42) of the flight attendant seat (10) faces towards the rear side of a backrest of the passenger seat (114) or the rear side of a backrest of at least one passenger seat (114) belonging to the row (112) of passenger seats. |
