Proposed are a method for playing a media content, a server and a display apparatus. The method comprises: receiving a first request, the first request being used for indicating the sending of a first media content to a first display apparatus; according to the first request, sending the first media content to the first display apparatus, so that the first display apparatus plays the first media content; and sending first information corresponding to the first media content to a second server, so that the second server sends a second media content corresponding to the first information to a second display apparatus, the second display apparatus being used for playing the second media content. In the embodiments of the present invention, when a first display apparatus plays a first media content, a server is enabled to send a second media content corresponding to the first media content to a second display apparatus, so that on the premise of not affecting a user watching the first media content, the user can watch the second media content simultaneously, and when the second media content is an advertisement, the advertising effect of the first media content can also be fully implemented. |
