PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner for electrostatic latent image development having a sufficient positive charging property even under a normal temperature and normal humidity environment as well as a high temperature and high humidity environment.SOLUTION: A toner for electrostatic latent image development contains a plurality of toner particles having a core and a shell layer 12. The shell layer 12 is formed on a surface of the core. The shell layer 12 substantially comprises resin. Also, the shell layer 12 has, on its surface, a plurality of dot-like regions R1 each having a positive charging property, and a planar region R2 having stronger hydrophobicity than the dot-like region R1. In the resin substantially constituting the shell layer 12, a polyester resin is contained. A surface of the polyester resin in the shell layer 12 is equivalent at least to a part of the dot-like regions R1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
