PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller coaster arranged in a small footprint.SOLUTION: In a tower ride, suspended cars 104 are mounted on rails 111, 112, 113, 114 that form a track that is a complete double helix path. The track enables provision of a car path without the need to turn the car or to switch tracks. The car is suspended from a four-truss track, riding on the two bottom rails 112, 113 for stability.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
