PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frozen dessert production apparatus capable of avoiding beforehand the occurrence of an accident in heat-sterilizing frozen dessert. SOLUTION: This frozen dessert production apparatus SM has a cooling cylinder 8 to which a mix is supplied, a beater 10 stirring the mix in the cooling cylinder 8 and a cooling device R cooling the cooling cylinder 8, and comprises producing the frozen dessert through cooling the mix while stirring in the cooling cylinder 8. Furthermore, the apparatus has a detachable taking-out lever 15 operating at the time of extracting the frozen dessert produced in the cooling cylinder 8, an adjacent switch 38 detecting the existence of the taking-out lever 15 and a microcomputer performing cooling operation to produce the frozen dessert through cooling the cooling cylinder 8 and heat-sterilizing operation to heat and sterilize the cooling cylinder 8. The microcomputer permits the performance of the heat-sterilizing operation when the adjacent switch 38 does not detect the existence of the taking-out lever 15. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
