PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure capable of sufficiently securing safety when a fire occurs even in a wooden building. SOLUTION: This wood-steel composite structure has a main frame 3 having ultimate yield strength capable of preventing at least collapse; and adopts a composite column formed of a column body composed of wood capable of supporting a long-term vertical load, and a suspending material 7 composed of a steel material for inserting its core part in the vertical direction, as a column 4 of the respective floors arranged separately from the main frame. The columns of the respective floors are continuously arranged in the vertical direction, and the uppermost part of a series of suspending materials in a series of these columns is connected to the main frame, and the ultimate vertical load can be suspended and supported by the main frame via the suspending materials. A connection member is interposed between the columns of the respective floors, and the mutual suspending materials of the respective floors are connected via the connection member. A thermally insulating material for thermally insulating these member and material, is interposed in a connecting part of the connection member and the suspending materials.
