PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily execute a maintenance operation for discard object documents even when a large number of documents are turned into discard objects. SOLUTION: This document management system(document management server 1) for storing and managing document data is configured to discriminate whether or not document data satisfying prescribed discard conditions are stored, and to, when there are a plurality of document data discriminated to satisfy the prescribed discard conditions, group the plurality of document data according to the similarity of document content. Then, the plurality of document data are list-displayed as discard candidates for each of the divided groups.
