摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce infiltration of moisture in an electro-optical device such as a liquid crystal device. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal device 1 comprises a TFT array substrate 10 and a counter substrate 20 included in a liquid crystal device body 500, and a fluid 800 with which the clearance 810 across a mounting case 601 is filled up. As the fluid 800, for example, silicone having fluidity is used, and compared with a high viscosity resin material and a resin part made by hardening such a resin material, silicone goes into even a minute space in the clearance 810 so as not to form a space which is not filled up with the resin material. In addition, since there is no volume change accompanying contraction or the like of the resin material hardened in the clearance 810, any space unfilled with the fluid is not formed in the clearance 810.
