PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel which is small in the number of components, is simple in structure, is easily assembled and adjusted, can generate an appropriate frictional force against the rotating operation force of rotation operation rings of a zooming operation ring or a focusing operation ring and can obtain an optimal operation force for each rotating operation ring. SOLUTION: The lens barrel includes at least two slidable rotating members supported on the internal or external circumferential face of a fixed cylinder so as to be fixed in the direction of its optical axis and rotatable around the optical axis. In the lens barrel, an annular member rotatable around the optical axis and having elastic projections on both its subject side face and image forming side face is fixed to the fixed cylinder between the two slidable rotating members. The respective elastic projections of the annular member are disposed in press contact with the image forming side end face of the slidable rotating member on the subject side and the subject side end face of the slidable rotating member on the image forming side.
