摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method and a manufacturing device for an electrooptical device that can easily remove foreign matter getting mixed when two substrates are stuck together with an adhesive. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method for the electrooptical device includes a stage of moving one of the first and second substrates relatively to the other in parallel to stuck surfaces until the foreign matter comes to overlap with neither of the two substrates when it is decided that the foreign matter is present in a display area after the two substrates constituting the electrooptical device having the display area for image display are stuck together. Further, the method includes a pressing-in stage of putting the respective stuck surfaces close each other and pressing one of the two substrates in by a predetermined quantity in the direction wherein the layer thickness of an adhesive layer is made thinner and a moving stage of moving one of the two substrates to the position when the two substrates are stuck together while maintaining the layer thickness which is made thinner in the pressing-in stage.
