PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily inspect an applied condition of a lubricant in a light transmitting cage for a bearing. SOLUTION: The applied condition of the lubricant is inspected in the cage for the rolling bearing (bearing), using this inspection device. The bearing is irradiated with a visible light, and a transmission image is picked up by a camera to transfer a picked-up image to an image processor. The cage is imaged as a transmission area, in the picked-up image, the lubricant is imaged as a nontransmission area, and the cage is thereby discriminated easily from the lubricant, based on a difference in colors of the picked-up image. The image processor executes binarization processing for the picked-up image, and detects thereafter the nontransmission area (black area) in a specified area on the cage, i.e. the area of the lubricant. The applied condition of the lubricant in the cage (for example, excessive, less or appropriate amount of lubricant, or nothing thereof) is judged based on an area of the detected black area (area of the lubricant).
