PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel quantitative analysis method of the whole protein, which can avoid any influence of interfering substances in a specimen, and to provide a novel quantitative analysis-use kit which is used therefor. SOLUTION: The specimen is mixed with a first reagent containing alcohols selected from a group consisting of disaccharide, cyclodextrins and amine having two or more alcoholic hydroxyl functions, and then a second reagent containing a biuret reagent is added thereto in order to induce a biuret reaction, whereby the whole protein in the specimen can be quantitatively determined accurately while avoiding any influence of the interfering substances in the specimen.
