PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for deriving an existence space generating a pair (conditional isochromatic pair) of each spectral reflectance of each color stimulus having a different spectral reflectance but equal tristimulus values relative to each spectral reflectance of the color stimuli which are targets, when comparing the tristimulus values determined from each spectral reflectance of two color stimuli. SOLUTION: This method shows an effect for deriving the existence space of the pair (conditional isochromatic pair) of each spectral reflectance of each color stimulus having the different spectral reflectance but the equal tristimulus values. In order to minimize an effect of the conditional same color formed only under a specific observation light source wherein the tristimulus values are changed not only under one observation light source but also when the observation light source is changed by applying the method under a plurality of observation light sources, the existence space generating the pair (conditional isochromatic pair) of each spectral reflectance of each color stimulus having the different spectral reflectance but the equal tristimulus values under the plurality of observation light sources.
