A fault blocking device and a recording medium having a recorded program for blocking a fault are provided to block a fault generated from a communication channel between a settlement terminal and a host through a VAN(Value Added Network). A signal detecting unit(110) detects whether one or more fault-causing signals are generated from a communication device such as a phone and/or a facsimile besides a settlement terminal provided in a certain affiliate store. When one or more fault-causing signals are detected by the signal detecting unit, a ping-pong signal generating unit(105) erases the detected fault-causing signals to invalidate it, and/or generates an inverse signal or a ping-pong signal to block calls from the fault-causing devices that have generated the fault-causing signals.
