PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power converter, which can realize stable continuous operation of an inverter by giving a battery charging function and a function of balancing two capacitors for unbalanced loads to the converter and at the same time, does not impose unreasonable load on a system side by always charging a battery by collectively, using the energy of the two capacitors. SOLUTION: When a system power source 10 is normal, capacitors 8 and 9 are charged by switching switches 30 and 31, after relays 24 and 85 are switched to a point A side and a battery 11 is charged from the capacitors 8 and 9 by switching of a switch 80. When the system power source 10 becomes abnormal due to power failure, the capacitors 8 and 9 are charged from the battery 11 by switching switches 81 and 31, after the relays 24 and 85 are switched to a point B side. |
