PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine that can readily operate a control system and readily communicate information from above the engine.SOLUTION: A top cover 11 is provided at a top face of a marine engine 1 disposed in a marine engine room. The top cover 11 is formed with a space part 11a penetrating therethrough in a vertical direction. In the space part 11a, an engine-side operation part 40 is disposed while being exposed to the outside.
