PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce loss at standby when an AC load is backed up.SOLUTION: A power-supply device includes: a series circuit of first and second switching elements Q1 and Q2; a series circuit of third and fourth switching elements Q3 and Q4; a series circuit of first and second capacitors C1 and C2; a series circuit of third and fourth capacitors C3 and C4; a first inductor L1 connected between a connection point of the first and second switching elements and one end of an AC terminal; a second inductor L2 connected between a connection point of the third and fourth switching elements and the other end of the AC terminal; and a control device 1 controlling on and off states of the first to fourth switching elements. The control device charges voltages of the first and second capacitors higher than voltage crest values Va and Vb of an AC power supply.
