PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve timing adjusting device which can cope with a variety of production lines, a lock jig used in the manufacturing of the valve timing adjusting device, and its manufacturing method.SOLUTION: A valve timing adjusting device 10 comprises a lock part 33. The lock part 33 locks a lock jig 60 when locking the relative rotation of a drive rotating body 25 and an input rotating body 39 by the lock jig 60 prior to the assembling of the valve timing adjusting device 10 to an internal combustion engine. The lock part 33 is positioned radially inward from an insertion part 23 being a portion which is inserted into a through-hole 93 of a chain cover 92 in a rotation-type actuator 11. The lock jig 60 comprises a first engagement part 61, a second engagement part 62 and a connecting part 63. The first engagement part 61 is engaged with the input rotating body 39 in a peripheral direction. The second engagement part 62 is engaged with the lock part 33 in the peripheral direction. The connecting part 63 connects the first engagement part 61 and the second engagement part 62. The physique of the lock jig 60 is smaller than that of the insertion part 23 in the radial direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
