PURPOSE: A channel information standard format for exchanging channel information in a digital broadcasting receiver and a converting apparatus thereof are provided to define a standardized channel information format, and input/output and exchange channel information between digital broadcasting receivers. CONSTITUTION: Data transmitting units(40,42) mutually exchange a channel information standard format between media formed by at least one or more combinations among a satellite, a ground wave and a cable, or inter-different digital broadcasting receivers through a communication network. Standard format converting units(30,32) recognizes input format information inputted from the data transmitting units through an encoding rule, and analyze recognized input format information as a same-type data structure through a predetermined standard format. Internal format converting units convert the standard format analyzed in the standard format converting units into internal formats of receivers(20,22). |
