PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a return pipe-type ball screw device capable of accurately positioning and fixing return pipes on and to a nut member even without a troublesome positioning work, and circulating balls endlessly and smoothly for a long period of time without a possibility that dust enters the interior of the nut member. SOLUTION: This ball screw device is composed of a screw shaft having a spiral ball rolling groove, the nut member having a spiral load rolling groove opposite to the ball rolling groove on its inner peripheral face and engaged with the screw shaft through a number of balls, a pair of ball passing holes penetrated through the nut member and continued to both ends of the load rolling groove, and return passage members fitted to the ball passing holes and forming the endless circulation passage of the balls. The return passage member has a pair of return pieces having leg portions inserted into the ball passing holes, and a communication passage piece selectively inserted between the pair of return pieces in accordance with the number of turns of the load rolling groove.
