PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine system, capable of driving an engine by using hydrogen rich gas, which is generated from a medium repeating storage and emission of hydrogen chemically, as one of fuel, and of generating the hydrogen rich gas from the medium efficiently. SOLUTION: This engine system provided with a hydrogen supply device loaded with the medium repeating storage and emission of hydrogen chemically to generate hydrogen rich gas from the medium or store it and capable of driving the engine by using the hydrogen rich gas as one of fuel has a detection part for detecting an operation condition of the engine and a medium supply amount control means for controlling amount of supply of the medium to be supplied to the hydrogen supply device in accordance with the results of detection by the detection part.
