PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floor material for outdoor use which is hardly cracked, is nonslip, and is excellent in drainage and ventilation properties, and to provide a wood deck using it. SOLUTION: A required number of grooves 2 or ridge parts 3 each having a chevron-shape in cross section are formed in an upper face and/or a lower face of a processed solid wood along the longitudinal direction to at least secure a property of prevention of cracks C, a nonslip property, a drainage property and a ventilation property. A plurality of ridge parts 3 are continuously formed over the whole upper face and/or lower face without leaving flat parts. The wood deck 1 is structured using the floor material 1 for outdoor use.
