PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing a laminated molded article and a mold which can be suitably used for satisfactorily maintaining a soft feeling while securing sharp appearance and shape. SOLUTION: When a skin 30 is unified with the surface of a resin core material 20 by a mold press molding method or an injection molding method in the molding method, the set working of the skin 30 is easily performed by previously assembling the skin 30 to an assist model 80 for each a set frame 90 after heating softening processing. When a vacuum molding is performed by a molding upper mold 50, a press pressure is applied between a model mold 82 firmly supported on a pedestal 86 and a molding upper mold 50 to perform a molding of the skin 30 so as to ensure a uniform thickness in the shape of thin wall. At the time of feeding a molten resin M, it is avoided that thermal damage affects the skin 30, and an appearance performance on the surface of a product is improved by carrying out the vacuum press molding of the skin 30.
