PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove deposits on the surface of raw material particulate powder in the production of a composite structure by an aerosol deposition process, and to achieve the improvement of the strength of the structure to be produced and the prevention of the intrusion of impurities. SOLUTION: In such a case that a composite structure is formed by an aerosol deposition process, the surfaces of particulates to be used are beforehand subjected to cleaning by plasma radiation or microwave radiation, and are subjected to activation treatment over many hours. Successively, the particulates are converted into an aerosol, and it is jetted toward a base material, so as to produce a structure composed of the components of the particulates.
