PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and thin optical pickup device. SOLUTION: In order to drive the objective lens in the direction of a lens optical axis (Z axis) and radial direction (X axis) of an optical disk, the optical pickup device comprises an objective lens disposed on one central part of a base extending in the Y axis direction orthogonal to the Z axis and X axis, a pair of focus coils symmetrically disposed on the both edge via the objective lens and wounded around the Z axis, a pair of trucking coils disposed in the focus coils respectively and wound around the X axis, and a lens holder assembled by inserting the focus coils from a side opening in the Y axis direction and the trucking coils into the focus coils from the upper opening in the Z axis direction to form a magnetic field by magnets, wherein a first to fourth magnets, disposed at the outer sides of the both edges of a pair of the focus coils to form magnetic fields and the lens holder is movably supported in the magnetic field.
