PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator car position fixing device having high safety which is capable of keeping the car position in a predetermined opened state of a car door by a machine structure, and releasing the keeping of a car in a predetermined closed state of the car door. SOLUTION: A link mechanism 10 is provided, which moves a movable engaging piece 9 based on the opening/closing operation of car doors 2, 3 of an elevator, and engages its fore end with an engaged piece 12. The link mechanism 10 engages the fore end of the movable engaging piece 9 with the engaged piece 12 according to the predetermined open state of the car doors 2, 3, and disengages the fore end of the movable engaging piece 9 from the engaged piece 12 according to the predetermined closed state of the car doors 2, 3.
