FIELD: construction industry. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention refers to construction materials, and namely to fire retardants for making flame-resistant coatings for metal and wood, and can be used in shops of factories and construction sites for applying coatings to metal and wooden structures in order to increase their fire resistance. Fire retardant includes the following, wt %: magnesium hydroxide 20-70; carbamide 5-10; liquid glass is the rest.
