The present invention relates to a low noise amplifier and to a gain control method using the same. According to the present invention, the low noise amplifier includes: an amplification means which amplifies a radio frequency (RF) signal applied through an input terminal; a power supply unit which is connected to one end of the amplification means and supplies an operation power to the amplification means; a gain control unit which controls the gain of a receiving signal by varying a capacitance according to the size of a receiving broadcasting signal; and a voltage size control unit which controls the size of a voltage applied to the gain control unit. The present invention can receive broadcast without degradation in receiving sensitivity in the entire frequency band by varying the capacitance by a varactor diode to set a proper gain suitable for the characteristic of each network on an LNA end. |
