PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular headlamp capable of reducing loss of light of a light distribution pattern when shielding the light by a light shielding section.SOLUTION: The vehicular headlamp includes a semiconductor light source 2, a lens 35, a light shielding section 60, and a driving member 7. The light shielding section 60 shields a part of light entering the lens 35 from the semiconductor light source 2 when it is located at a first position. The light shielding section 60 causes a part of light emitted from the semiconductor light source 2 and shielded when located at the first position to enter the lens 35, when it is located at a second position. The light shielding section, when located at the first position, is perpendicular or almost perpendicular to the light-emitting surface 25 of the semiconductor light source 2 in a prescribed region. As a result, loss of light of the light distribution pattern when shielding by the light shielding section 60 can be reduced. |
