PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device that enables detection of an on-rail state of ground facilities mainly by a vehicle without installing any new ground facilities by receiving information on a beacon and collating the receiving information with a database on the vehicle as well as a travel distance.SOLUTION: A transmitter receiver 11 mounted on a vehicle 1 compares, by a collation device 14, beacon information 100 with distance information 101, specified from distance information 103 obtained by a travel arithmetic device and stored previously in a database 12, a vehicle control device 15 recognizes an area border 2 of a ground system when a comparison result shows that the distance information 101 is smaller than the distance information 103, thereby determining in which of an area A and an area B the vehicle is present mainly by the on-vehicle device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
