PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a white line follow-up travel controller which can cope with anxiety when a user guides a vehicle by recognizing left and right white lines, and when any one of the white lines becomes unrecognisable, a user continues to guide the vehicle based on the other white line and width between both white lines which has been recognized, and a probability that a road width may become narrower actually.SOLUTION: When any one of left and right white lines becomes unrecognisable, the vehicle is guided along a position which is apart by a distance smaller than a half length of width W between the white lines which has been calculated based on recognition of left and right both white lines, by a predetermined shift amount S from the white line which can be recognized toward the side on which the white line becomes unrecognisable.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
