PURPOSE: An induction motor is provided to achieve improved efficiency of the motor by permitting a rotor to rotate by the magnetic field having a strong magnetic flux. CONSTITUTION: An induction motor comprises a stator(102) having an inner surface on which a plurality of slots are formed, wherein the slots are wound with a driving coil(106); a rotor(103) arranged to be rotatable in the stator, and which has a slot penetrating in a vertical direction, and a rod conductor(107) arranged in the slot, wherein the rotor has both ends connected through an end ring; a rotating shaft press fit into the center of the rotor so as to transmit the rotating force of the rotor to an external source; and a free magnet(111) interposed between the stator and the rotor in such a manner that the free magnet is rotatable, wherein the free magnet rotates by the magnetic field generated from the stator, and permits the rotor to be rotated by a strong magnetic flux.
