APPARATUS FOR CLEANING HEAT EXCHANGERS OF BTX RECOVERY FACILITY

PURPOSE: An apparatus for cleaning heat exchangers of BTX recovery facility is provided to maximize efficiency of the exchangers by easily removing coal tar and pitch adhered and accumulated on varieties of heat exchangers in a process of refining and distilling benzene, toluene and xylene (BTX) that are impurities in coke oven gas. CONSTITUTION: In a facility for refining and distilling benzene, toluene and xylene contained in coke oven gas generated in a process of preparing coke by dry distilling coal, the apparatus comprises a mixture separator(200) slantly arranged with being connected to an end part of recovery pipe(176) for discharging cleaning solution from heat exchangers(142,152,162) attached to the distillation facility; a pure BTX tank(300) horizontally installed with being connected to an end part of cleaning pipe(174) for supplying cleaning solution to the heat exchangers; a discharge pipe(230) for connecting the mixture separator to the pure BTX tank; a heat exchanger for cooling(242) installed on the discharge pipe to cool the cleaning solution evaporated; and a decanter(400) connected to the mixture separator to collect and recover coal tar and pitch discharged from the mixture separator.
