PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle seat, solving the problem such as lowering of seating feeling, small moving amount of a headrest, and functional lowering of a lumbar support mechanism. SOLUTION: In this vehicle seat, the headrest 6 is fitted to an upper frame 24 of a square frame shaped backrest frame 3 to be movable forward and backward by an upper link 12, and a rear end collision sensor 40 for operating the upper link 12 and a cushion support mechanism 45 are provided in the square frame of the backrest frame 3. In the cushion support mechanism 45, lateral frames 47 projected sideways like ribs are arranged side by side at predetermined vertical spaces on a pair of right and left vertical frames 46 to form a support part 48. The support part 48 is expanded and contracted vertically to control the degree of pressing forward the cushion material 4. One of the right and left arm parts 37 and the rotating arm 36 of the rear end collision sensor 40 is provided with an engaging projection 29, and the other thereof is provided with a stopper 28, whereby the rear end collision sensor 40 is located in a predetermined position by the engaging projection 29 and the stopper 28.
