A plasma display panel includes a first substrate and a second substrate which face each other. The first substrate includes first and second bus electrodes, first and second display electrodes respectively connected to the first and second bus electrodes, a dielectric layer, and address electrodes. For example, the first display electrode is disposed in each cell and projects from the first bus electrode toward the second bus electrode with its width becoming narrower toward its tip. The first display electrode has a first side along a barrier rib located away from the address electrode and a first oblique side obliquely facing the first side. The second display electrode is disposed in each cell and projects from the second bus electrode toward the first bus electrode with its width becoming narrower toward its tip. The second display electrode has a second side along the address electrode and a second oblique side facing the first oblique side. Consequently, erroneous discharge can be prevented.
