The present invention relates to a packaging machine for packaging packages, preferably trough-shaped packages, to be filled with goods, wherein a heating system is provided. The packaging machine is characterized in that the heating system is designed as an induction heating unit which is associated with a processing tool, and wherein the induction heating unit is provided in such a way that inductively generated eddy currents may be produced in the processing tool by the induction heating unit in order to directly heat the processing tool.
