PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device and an electronic device capable of driving sub-frames while suppressing increase in the wiring layout. SOLUTION: In the pixel display area 21 of a liquid crystal display 20 having a plurality of pixel circuits PXL (11-34) formed in a matrix, the sub-potential line LSB11 is shared by two pixel circuits PXL11 and PXL12, PXL21 and PXL22, and PXL31 and PXL32, all adjoining the data lines LDT in parallel, and the sub-potential line LSB12 is shared by two pixel circuits PXL13 and PXL14, PXL23 and PXL24, and PXL33 and PXL34, all adjoining with each other.
