<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slide transfer apparatus which enables clear transfer to the side surface of a molded article in a cylinder shape. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The slide transfer apparatus includes: a film supply machine 4 which feeds a transfer film 8 between the transfer apparatus 3 and a molded article 30 set on the jig 7 and takes it up; and a driving part 5 which slides the transfer machine 3 and the film supply machine 4 sideways at the same time. A jig driving apparatus 2 slides the molded article 30 set on the jig 7 so that a plate 9 can press the transfer film 8 to the side surface of the molded article 30, and then the driving part 5 is activated to slide the transfer machine 3 and the film supply machine 4 sideways at the same time, thereby causing the plate 9 heated by the heat source 10 to slide while pressing the film 8 to the side surface of the molded article 30 and transfer characters or images inscribed on the surface of the plate 9 to the side surface of the molded article 30 while rolling the molded article 30.
