OPTICAL NETWORK-ON-CHIP, OPTICAL ROUTER AND SIGNAL TRANSMISSION METHOD

Disclosed in the present invention are an optical network-on-chip, an optical router and a signal transmission method. The optical network-on-chip comprises a number N2 of Intellectual Property (IP) cores, a number N2/2 of gateways and a number N2 of optical routers; a number N2 of optical routers form two sub networks, wherein a number N2/2 of optical routers form a sub network; each gateway of a number N2/2 of gateways is connected with two IP cores of a number N2 of IP cores, wherein different gateway is connected with different IP cores, and the two IP cores connected with each gateway are in one-to-one correspondence with the two sub networks respectively; and a number N2/2 of gateways are in one-to-one correspondence with a number N2/2 of optical routers in either sub network of the two sub networks, and each gateway is connected with the optical router corresponding to each gateway in the sub network. The optical network-on-chip, the optical router and the signal transmission method in the embodiments of the present invention can improve network performance.
