Provided is an LED unit equipped with one or more LEDs and a heat dissipation member having: a mounting surface formed so as to be long in one direction and on which the LEDs are mounted; and an internally positioned channel for causing a cooling medium to flow in the lengthwise direction. A cooling medium flow entrance for the channel is formed in the heat dissipation member in the approximate center in the lengthwise direction thereof, and cooling medium flow exits for the channel are formed on one end side and the other end side of the heat dissipation member in the lengthwise direction thereof. |
