METHOD FOR MODELING TRAFFIC ROAD AND METHOD FOR RECOGNIZING TRAFFIC LANE USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A method for modeling a traffic road and a method for recognizing a traffic lane using the same are provided to recognize a traffic lane according to each image information of a traffic road by using a sensor and a camera. CONSTITUTION: A method for modeling a traffic road and a method for recognizing a traffic lane using the same comprise the steps of: modeling(200) a traffic road as a connection form of rectangle plates; extracting(210) traffic road pixels within the modeled plates by projecting the modeled plates through a camera and converting the extracted traffic road pixels to a straight line traffic lane information; reproducing(220) the traffic road information by projecting the straight line traffic lane information of the traffic road image on the modeled plates; optimizing(230) the traffic lane information by applying restricted conditions related to characteristics of the traffic lane; and remodeling(240) information about a current traffic lane to straight line plates by reflecting the optimized traffic lane information, vehicle speed, and the modeled plate information and outputting locations and directions of the plates.
