PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner capable of suppressing the occurrence of printing failure such as off-set by using toner mother particles having sufficient fixing performance in regular printing operation even in a special situation in which heating temperature of a fixing unit is not sufficient, such as immediately after switching on a power supply and starting from an energy-saving mode.SOLUTION: The present inventor has made diligent studies in view of the above problems and have found that a toner which suppresses the occurrence of printing failure can be obtained by adhering or fixing only an external additive having small particle diameter equal to or less than a specific average primary particle diameter onto the surface of toner mother particles having a specific softening point so as to satisfy the coverage of the external additive represented by a specific numeral relationship, even in a special situation in which heating temperature of a fixing unit is not sufficient.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
