PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration control device which effectively reduces horizontal vibrations occurring in a building, in particular, a unit building at low costs.SOLUTION: A vibration control device 1 includes: installation bases 2, 2; a weight 10 which is supported on the bases through lamination rubbers 3, 3 so as to be displaced in a horizontal direction; damping materials 4, 4 installed between the bases and the weight; and an auxiliary spring 5 which causes the weight to be restored to a predetermined position relative to the base. The weight 10 comprises: an acceptor 15; and weight members 11, 12 stored in the acceptor 15. The acceptor 15 is formed by C shaped steel 16 or groove-shaped steel which has an opening at an upper part. The weight members 11, 12, ..., which are formed by plates, are laminated and stored in the opening. The weight members are fixed by bolts and nuts 19.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
