PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch for an electronic clock that consumes less electric power while having a high resolution.SOLUTION: A switching device 1 includes: a rotating part 5 outputting a first signal in response to the rotation of a rotating body 3; a sensor part 6 outputting a second signal with a higher accuracy of detecting the amount of rotation than the first signal, in response to the rotation of the rotating body 3; and a control part turning on the power source of the sensor part 6 according to change of the first signal and receiving the second signal output from the sensor part 6. The control part turns off the power source of the sensor part 6 in a case where a predetermined period of time has passed since the last change of the first signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
