PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate with the excellent optical characteristics in which the curl of the polarizing plate and the separation of a protective film when bending are suppressed, and also provide an image display device member, an image display device, and a manufacturing method for the polarizing plate.SOLUTION: The polarizing plate according to the present invention includes protective films I and II having a polarizer held therebetween. The difference in curl quantity between the protective films I and II is within 10%, and the attachment angle between the protective films I and II is in the range of 0 to 10°. The protective films I and II are disposed so that their stress direction on a straight line in the film thickness direction is different.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
