PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic apparatus capable of giving a response which is estimated to gain user's sympathy and a control method therefor.SOLUTION: An electronic apparatus (a content processing regenerator 1) has a user situation analysis unit 202, a content situation analysis unit 107 and execution units (a comment generation unit 304 and a comment output unit 305). The user situation analysis unit analyzes the user situation. The content situation analysis unit analyzes the content situation. The comment generation unit generates a comment which is estimated to gain the user's sympathy on the basis of the content situation analyzed by the content situation analysis unit and the user situation analyzed by the user information analysis unit.
